Architecture

Project Architect - 12/06/08 - Maryland - Project Architects that possess the ability to meet with the client, analyze project information and develop creative solutions. Aviation

Project Engineer - Maryland - Filled - 5-10 years of related experience and have a BS in civil engineering. Licensed P.E. in Maryland , AutoCaD, MicroStation and GeoPak experience preferred.

Project Manager - New York - Filled - BS in Engineering and PE License. 10 to 15 years experience in civil airport infrastructure projects is required. Experience at medium to large hub airports is preferred.

Construction

Office Engineer - 12/8/08 - New Jersey - Candidate will primarily perform Office Engineering Services for NYCDDC and must have experience as in field inspection as well as experience with Microsoft Excel and Word. Good oral and written communication skills. Candidate must have BSCE and NICET III preferred but not required, ACI, SAT, MPT training a plus. (7)

Project Engineer - 12/08/08 - New Jersey - 15 to 20 years experience with emphasis in roadway and bridge construction / rehabilitation, in the NY, NJ metropolitan area. Minimum of 10 years as Project (Resident) Engineer with a N.Y.P.E. and or N.J.P.E. license. Able to perform independent work including delegated responsibilities and duties for which engineering precedent exits. Ability to supervise and work with subordinates and Owners. A BSCE is required; equivalent ASCE Grade IV or higher. Training in SSPC or NACE desired but not required. valuate the Contractor's compliance with the requirements of the Contract Documents under limited or no supervision. Responsibilities will be in accordance with the Contract for the performance of the work and the Construction Contract Documents. In general, the Project (Resident) Engineer will supervise a field staff for inspection of construction; prepare or review the construction schedule and/or attend job related meetings; serve as the Owner’s on-site liaison with the Contractor to coordinate and monitor matters of quality, schedule, cost and information; review and provide recommendations to the Design Engineer concerning Contractor’s requests for clarifications; receive and monitor shop drawing processing; coordinate the services of independent testing entities; report and document unsatisfactory or non-conforming work to the Owner and Design Engineer and make recommendations concerning claims, contract modifications and payment requests; maintain records and provide reports; and assist in final inspection, record drawings and contract closeout. Project Manager - 12//8/08 - Maryland - 10 to15 years of experience. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering required. Professional registration a plus. Must have knowledge of cost loaded schedules and the ability to review and monitor contractor’s project. Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as practical construction management capabilities. Must possess strong computer skills. Senior Environmental Scientist - 12/5/08 - Maryland - Manage, lead, and participate as a team member on various aspects of field activities, environmental permits and mitigation plans, and NEPA planning studies for transportation projects. Provide management and supervision of environmental technical staff; develop proposals and costs; coordinating with agencies, stakeholders, sub consultants and other team members; and marketing of environmental services to existing and new clients. Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, natural resource management, planning or associated field. Experience serving public and/or private clients for over 10 years. (7)

Senior Environmental Project Manager - 12/16/08 - Oregon and Kansas - Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Geology/Hydrogeology, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline; at least 10 years experience in a consulting practice; and OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training. Responsible for providing leadership on environmental projects and interfacing with other project managers, client service managers, regulators, office and field staff, and subcontractors. Duties include management and technical oversight of  environmental staff performing site evaluation and remedial design activities  and reviewing technical reports prepared by staff. Applied knowledge of other appropriate environmental disciplines is highly desired. Sr. Project Engineer - New! 12/22/08 -  Washington - Responsible for managing a $70 million Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) design-build highway interchange project in an urban environment and delivering it in a way that meets quality, cost, and schedule targets. A Washington State license must be attained within six months of being assigned to this position. Have an extensive background in transportation engineering and project management. Possess knowledge of civil engineering principles relating to roadway geometrics, hydraulics, traffic engineering and safety, soils, retaining walls and bridges, electrical illumination, environmental engineering and construction practices. Have detailed knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Have the ability to effectively communicate and interact with diverse project stakeholders in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing, and facilitate collaboration between cross-functional groups. Have personnel management, communication, and leadership skills to manage, train, coach, and mentor office and field personnel. (11)

Senior Traffic Engineer - Filled -  Pennsylvania - 10+ years experience, will oversee traffic work in our Pennsylvania offices. Duties will include various traffic engineering studies such as determining the need for traffic signals, analyzing locations where accidents have occurred, performing traffic analysis, and improving signal timing. Also responsible for engineering activities including the design of traffic signals, lighting, pavement marking, signing and intelligent transportation systems. Senior Highway Engineer - California - BS in Civil Engineering, PE or EIT that is able to get PE

Water Resources 

Project Engineer - New! 12/22/08 - Delaware - Minimum 6-10 years experience, BSCE/EI required, Delaware P.E. preferred. Delaware design experience and working knowledge of SWM/E&S regulations preferred. Candidate should be familiar with Microstation, Geopak, InRoads, and/or AutoCADD. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills for direct client contact, marketing, proposal preparation and assisting with production work plans, schedules and budgets. Must have the ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments. Will be responsible for water resources engineering design, plans production, studies and reports for public sector projects. Responsibilities would include: modeling/design of stormwater/drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, culverts/bridges, flood studies, stream restoration and permit package preparation. Responsibilities also include plans/reports production, management/supervision of Design Engineers and coordination of design activities with others.

Senior Water Engineer - 12/16/08 - Oregon - PE and 10-15 years experience is preferred.
B.S. or M.S. in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering with emphasis in water. Will have the opportunity to grow our Pacific Northwest Water Practice working closely with the industry's best engineers and scientists to pursue, plan and complete major projects with some of the largest municipal clients in the country. Your responsibilities would include marketing activities developing new and existing clients, managing project schedules/budgets, maintaining quality control, and coordinating activities related to both design and construction administration.  Broad knowledge in design of treatment processes including conventional and advanced membrane treatment is a plus. (25)

Hydraulics Engineer - Maryland - 2-5 years experience, with high competency levels in one or more disciplines including hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, best management practices, floodplain management, culvert design and construction techniques, stream restoration, and GIS / CADD skills. Knowledge of computer programs such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HEC-1, HEC-2, TR-20, etc. is preferred. A Maryland Professional Engineer’s license (or other state license) is preferred, as well as mid-Atlantic experience. (1)

Project Engineer - Filled -Florida - 3-8 years experience, BSCE/EI required, Florida P.E. and FDOT design experience is preferred. Florida design experience and working knowledge of WMD regulations required. Candidate should be familiar with Microstation/Geopak, ICPR and ASAD. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills for direct client contact, marketing, proposal preparation and assisting with production work plans, schedules and budgets. Must have the ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.

Senior Project Manager - North Carolina - 8-15 years of progressive experience including the management and administration of planning, design, water quality issues, hydrology and hydraulics, GIS/mapping, and computer applications applicable to water resources. Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering required. Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer licensure in North Carolina (or the ability to obtain within six months) required.

Project Engineer - Filled - New York - Water Resources Engineer with 10+ years of experience and who has worked with FEMA, NYCDEP, NJDEP, etc. Candidate must have knowledge of hydraulics, hydrology, and the preparation and design of drainage plans/permits. Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Arc GIS, Arc View, Microstation and AutoCAAD is desirable. Also P.E. is preferred.

Senior Project Manager - Filled - Florida - BS or MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering (10) plus years of experience are preferred. Experience with municipal, county, Water Management District and state clients in Florida considered another plus. Professional registration is required in the State of Florida . This position has great growth opportunity for the individual that is self motivated proven ability to effectively achieve positive should have results in marketing and business development to include experience preparing proposals (technical and cost), a; strong project management skills and communication skills; technical skills including GIS (ARCHYDRO, ArcGIS, etc) and watershed modeling (HEC models, SWMM, ADICPR, MIKE suite of models, etc). Water resource project design considered a plus.

Civil Engineer - California - B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, 5 to 10 years water resources related experience, knowledge of hydrology and open channel hydraulics, experience with ESRI Arc GIS and mapping software, especially ArcGIS 9, E.I.T. certification (registration as a P.E. in State of California preferred, knowledge of the unique flood hazards of the western US (e.g., levees, alluvial fans, moveable bed streams, etc), Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification.
