Purpose
of this position is to plan and lead the engineering of
AIS and GIS substation projects. Responsible for the coordination
and execution of all engineering disciplines for medium-voltage
and high-voltage substation projects, both Air Insulated
Switchgear (AIS) and Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substation
projects, in the 34.5 - 550 kV range (future possibility
up to 800kV) with an emphasis on project safety, cost, quality
and reliability.
- Manage
and lead all engineering activities during the proposal,
design and construction stages of substation projects
with strict adherence to the project contract.
- Notify
the Director of Engineering and the Project Manager of
any difficulties encountered in the engineering and design
that may adversely impact safety, reliability, quality,
cost, or schedule of the project deliverables, and provide
recommendations for solutions.
- Prepare,
update and support the project execution engineering activities
